Finished project: Crocheted Hat and Scarf

Hey Guys!

When the "BER" months are here, it means chilly days are here too. And this inspires me to make something that I can wear and will keep me warm. I consider myself a beginner in the crochet world. I have to thank the Youtubers for their instruction videos and bloggers for their written instruction on how to crochet stuff. Thanks for sharing your designs.

 Last Sunday, I have completed a scarf. I've completed the hat a few days prior.

 The hat design is from a book - Cool Crochet Hats by Linda Kopp. The design is called Divine Simplicity and the designer is Dot Matthews. I thought I followed the instruction well, but it was too short for my head. I did not use the recommended yarn and hook so, it was too short for me. I added a couple of rounds to it to fix the issue.

The scarf design is a free design from The Spruce Crafts by Amy Solovay. You can find it here. Thanks, Amy for sharing this design. It is really for a beginner and your instruction is easy to follow. I decided not to do the shell edging on this scarf though because I already like how it looks.

I used Caron Cakes - Faerie Cake yarn for these projects.

This kicked off my crochet bug this fall/winter season. I am already working on two crochet projects now. Here's me wearing them. :)😊

October Cross Stitch Work-in-Progress

The trend in cross stitching world right now is to work on a project that is picked by the decision wheel or roulette. I like the idea so I downloaded the app on my phone. I like the idea of not wasting my energy deciding which one to stitch for the day. Most of the time, it is a difficult process for me since I have about 150 plus of projects wanting my attention. So, I decided to have the first set of 11 projects. They are based on the following categories. Diamond Painting Unboxing

On August 28th, I received the largest diamond painting kit I have purchased so far. I ordered it from AliExpress vendor. It was on sale, I think but I bought it for $16 free shipping. Here is what it looked like when I received the goods. The supplies were not in a box like the ones I saw on YouTube and Facebook. They were wrapped in a bubble wrap. I figured maybe because it was a bit cheaper. These are the contents. I have all the diamonds that are required for this project. I am not sure what are that blue and black plastic thingy though. I am not sure what it is for. Can you please tell me? They called this a Dream Home - Cabin Scenery. And I think it is a 90x40 cm picture size. This is a round drill kit.
